CONGRATULATIONS to Kailyn Joseph the recipient of one of the 6 Kurt Fearnley Scholarships to young Para Athletes showing great athletic potential.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sam Dale on finishing 2nd at the Canberra Track Classic with a leap of 6.20 m. This is a World U20 Qualifier for the U20 Championships in Kenya in July.

CONGRATULATIONS to all Cherrybrook Athletes who have competed at the Treloar this season. The club recorded its best ever finish…..3rd Overall, 2nd in Juniors, 3rd in Masters and 13th in Open.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Masters athletes who braved atrocious conditions at the NSW Masters Championships  Our 5 athletes won 18 medals (9 Gold, 5 Silver and 4 Bronze). Congratulations to our new State Champions Jen Bishop (4 Golds), Jill Taylor (2), Robert Clark (2) and Matt Joyce (1).

CONGRATULATIONS to Joel Moresi who established the Junior 1500m record and broke the 800m and high jump records at the 2019 Sydney North Championships and was crowned Junior Boys Age Champion! Well done Joel!

CONGRATULATIONS to Alysha Burnett (High Jump and Heptathlon), Nick Andrews (110m Hurdles) and Jacob McCorry (110m Hurdles) on their performances at the 2019 World University Games in July in Naples, Italy. Special mention to Nick on setting a Cherrybrook Best.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jill Taylor on winning 8 medals (4 Gold, 3 Silver and 1 Bronze) at the 2019 Oceania Masters Championships in Mackay Queensland.

CONGRATULATIONS also to Robert Clark on winning the Throws Pentathlon and setting a new Cherrybrook Best in the Outdoor Pentathlon.

CONGRATULATIONS to Alysha Burnett, Nick Andrews, Jacob McCorry, Julie Charlton, Zachary Hayward and Sam Dale for their performances at the 2019 Oceania Area Championships in Townsville, Australia in June 2019.  They won 3 Golds (Julie, Zachary and Sam), 3 Silvers (Julie, Nick and Alysha) and a Bronze (Jacob)

CONGRATULATIONS to Alysha Burnett on her invitation to compete in the High Jump at the 2019 World Championships in Doha, Qatar.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jill Taylor on breaking one state record (56lb weight), setting two new Cherrybrook bests (12lb weight, 56lb weight) and setting three new Championships records (56lb weight, 100lb weight and throws pentathlon) at the 2019 Australian Masters Winter Throws in Wollongong

CONGRATULATIONS also to Robert Clark on breaking two Cherrybrook Records (35lb weight, 45lb weight) at the same competition.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jonathan Reid on his performances at the NSW All Schools Championships where he won Gold in the M16 years Triple Jump and Silver in the Long Jump. Both performances qualify him for the 2019 NSW All School team to compete at the Australian All Schools Championships in December.   

CONGRATULATIONS to Tayla Moore who threw a PB to place 5th in the 11 years discus at the 2019 School Sport Australia Track & Field Championships in Darwin.

CONGRATULATIONS to Joel Moresi who competed exceptionally well at the 2019 Australian Cross Country Championships at Kembla Grange to place an amazing 7th in the U10 Boys 2km event. Joel was also part of the U10 NSW Gold medal team – a wonderful achievement for his first State representation!

CONGRATULATIONS to Natasha Flahey who won a bronze medal in the U10 1200m event at the 2019 LANSW Road Walk Championships and a gold medal in the U12 2km event at ANSW Long Walk Championships.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tayla Moore on a silver medal in discus (29.37m) at the 2019 NSW Primary School Trials. Tayla has now qualified for the Australian Primary All School Nationals to be held in Darwin from the 18 – 23 September.

CONGRATULATIONS to Joel Moresi who placed 2nd in the 10 years 2km event at the 2019 NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships at Eastern Creek.  Joel has been selected to represent NSW at the Australian Cross Country Championships to be held at Kembla Grange.

CONGRATULATIONS to Rani Sharma who was crowned Senior Girls Age Champion and Lachlan Booth (10 years) and Bronsen Brown (12years) who were both crowned Age Champions at the 2019 Beecroft Zone PSSA Carnival. Joel Moresi who broke the 10 years 1500m record.

CONGRATULATIONSto Idris Burkhardt and Milly Visser who both medalled at the 2019 NSW Short Course Cross Country Championships on the 3 August. Idris had a great race to take silver in the U13 3km and Milly held on to take the bronze in the U16 challenging 4km event.

CONGRATULATIONS to our two silver medal teams at the 2019 Little Athletics Cross Country Championships on the 3 August. Laura Bray, Aliyah Bennett and Kayla Wiberg made up the U9 Girls team and  Syesha Anthony, Katie Bray and Amy Timms made up the U11 Girls team.

CONGRATULATIONS to Julie Charlton and Nicky Jenneke on being named as finalists in the 2019 NSW Community Sports Awards. Julie has been named in the Young Coach of the Year category and Nicky in the Community Sport Administrator of the Year category.

CONGRATULATIONS to Cherrybrook on winning the 2018-19 Club Development Award of the Year in the NSW Athletics Awards.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sally Stagles (Sprints/Hurdles – Masters) and Samantha Dale (Jumps – Junior) on winning their categories awards at the NSW Athletics Awards.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jill Taylor on winning the James & Johnston Trophy Awarded to the NSW Masters athlete with the highest combined point score at the 2019 State Throws Pentathlon Championships.

CONGRATULATIONS to Julie Charlton (Javelin) for her selection for the 2019 Open Para Team at the Oceania Area Championships. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Zachary Hayward (High Jump) and Sam Dale (Long Jump) for their selection for the U20 Team at the 2019 Oceania Area Championships.

CONGRATULATIONS to Alysha Burnett (High Jump, Heptathlon), Nick Andrews (110m Hurdles) and Jacob McCorry (110m Hurdles) on their selection for the 2019 World University Games which will take place from 3-14 July 2019 in Naples, Italy.

CONGRATULATIONS to Nick Andrews on his selection and performance at the World Relays in Yokohama in May 2019. Nick competed in the mixed shuttle relay where Australia recorded the fourth fastest time overall of 56.40s in the heat but unfortunately were disqualified in the final.

CONGRATULATIONS to Holly Saunders (Australian Record in the discus), Kailyn Joseph (Silver), Julie Charlton (Silver) and Kim Neuenkirchen (Gold) on their performances at the Arafura Championships in Darwin on April 27 – April 29 2019

CONGRATULATIONS to Jill Taylor (1 Gold, 5 Silver), Jen Bishop (4 Silver) and Robert Clark (1 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze) on their performances at the 2019 Australian Masters Championships in Melbourne. Jen set two new Cherrybrook Records (Javelin and 80m Hurdles) and Robert one (Discus).

CONGRATULATIONS to Elizabeth Jones and Julie Charlton on their performances at the 2019 Sydney 10 where Elizabeth set a Cherrybrook Best for the 10k and Julie had a podium finish.

CONGRATULATIONS to John Ballard, Donovan Bradshaw, Emily Britton, Robbie Cullen, Samantha Dale, Kailyn Joseph and Jonathan Reid on their selection for the NSW Target Talent

CONGRATULATIONS to Tayla Moore and Olivia Moresi for being selected for the 2019 Trans Tasman Challenge to be held on  Sunday, 13 January 2019 at Campbeltown Athletics Stadium, Leumeah.

Kailyn Joseph was nominated in the Young Athlete with a Disability category for the prestigious premier NSW Sports Awards. Kailyn was the NSW Little Athletics nomination.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sara Kely on her fabulous results at the 2019 Special Olympic Regionals where she won four gold medals (100m, 200m, Long Jump and Shot Put).

Elizabeth Jones selected as an official for the Invictus Games which will be held in Sydney October 20 – October 27 2018

James Gladman broke the Australian Records in the 100m, 200m and Long Jump.

Donovan Bradshaw broke the NSW All Schools Meet record in the 14 years 100m.

Sara Kely selected to represent Australia at the Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from March 14–21, 2019.
