Seniors at Cherrybrook
Our Seniors program caters for athletes from 9s (for select competitions) through to older age groups including Opens (20–34 years) and Masters (30+ years). The senior athletics season runs from October to September each year, providing year-round opportunities to train, compete and achieve your goals.
Athletes can also take part in the extensive Summer and Winter competition programs offered by NSW Athletics, including specialist meets, Interclub competitions, State Championships and the popular Winter cross-country season from April to August.
For athletes transitioning into senior competition, our Club provides a welcoming and supportive pathway, with events and competitions suited to a wide range of abilities, interests and goals. Whether you’re aiming for personal bests, State representation or simply enjoying the sport, there’s a level of competition that’s right for you. Please note that the youngest age group at NSW Athletics senior competitions is 12s however younger athletes may compete at some events.
Athletes 30 years and over can also enjoy additional competition opportunities through NSW Masters Athletics. Masters welcomes participants of all abilities and experience levels who want to stay active, challenge themselves and be part of a friendly and inclusive athletics community. Competition information is available on the NSW Masters Athletics website.
Seniors can compete as part of the Club’s Friday night program during the summer season (September to March) following the same program as our Little Athletes. See our 3 week program..
