2026\/2027 Parent\/Carer Season Duties Sign up<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Athlete surname A-G – Duties Sign Up – Program 1<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Athlete surname H – N – Duties Sign Up – Program 2<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Athlete surname O – Z – Duties Sign Up – Program 3<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

This season there will be the requirement to complete\u00a0one\u00a0duty per family every 3 weeks.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Duties commence on 18 September 2026 and will continue until 12 March 2027. Duties training will be provided to you and your team for your selected duty to ensure you are well supported in your role.<\/p>\n

You will be required to sign in at the duties sign in table and sign out at the end of the night with the coach\/committee member at the duty you are assisting with.<\/p>\n

Parent Duties for the 2026\/27 season<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Firstly, thank you to the many families who regularly volunteer. Your support helps make each competition night possible and creates a great experience for all athletes. However, there is still an ongoing challenge of filling parent duty rosters on Friday nights.<\/p>\n

With around 21 competition nights each season, families are asked to complete a maximum of seven rostered duties. We encourage everyone to get involved where they can. Volunteering is a valuable way to support the club and be part of your child\u2019s athletics journey.<\/p>\n

To address this issue and provide flexibility, the 2026\/27 Committee has decided that families can choose to opt out of Friday night duties by paying a\u00a0$300 family fee upfront at the start of the season.\u00a0<\/strong>(This fee\u00a0excludes duties for Zone, Region and State Championships).<\/p>\n

Families who don\u2019t opt out and\u00a0fail to complete their allocated duties\u00a0<\/strong>will have end-of-season trophy points deducted for each missed duty. If the opt out fee is not paid, points may not be calculated.<\/p>\n

The choice is simple:\u00a0complete your duties OR pay to opt out.
\n<\/strong>
\nFunds raised through the opt out program will be used to pay our 15 to 20 year old athletes to assist with Friday night competitions.<\/p>\n

Please note:\u00a0Duty requirements and the opt out fee do not apply to Tots and Under 6 families.
\n<\/strong>
\nThe payment can be paid directly upon registration, or at registration bib collection and\u00a0must be paid before collecting bib and registration documents.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note a family member must always be in attendance on a Friday night with their child\/children no matter whether they have duties or not.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
