NSW Little Athletics Championship Events Little Athletics Association of NSW conduct several Championship events throughout each season. State Records are accepted at all of the following events, with the exception of the Zone Championships and the State Cross-Country & Road Walks.
State Relay Championships
The Little Athletics State relays is a relays event open to all Little Athletics Centres in New South Wales, and is the first and largest event on the LA’s competition Calender. Both track and field relays are contested on the day, and all registered club members from Under 8 to Under 15 are eligible to nominate for a place in the Cherrybrook LA’s Team. Selection will be based on performance, however athletes may only compete in either track or fields events, and athletes competing in the middle distance relay cannot compete in any other event. Four athletes are selected per relay event, so there is plenty of opportunity for athletes to be selected and participate. The State relays are held in November at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre, with the U8 to U11’s competing on the Saturday and the U12 to U15’s competing on the Sunday. If your child is interested in representing Cherrybrook at the NSW Little Athletics State Relays, please complete a State Relay nomination form and return it to your age manager or to the State relay tub (in the club room on the results table). If your child is selected in the Cherrybrook Team, they will receive a selection letter via their age manager on Friday 9th November. A team selection list and Program will also be posted up at the oval and on the web site as soon as they become available. For enquiries please contact Nicky Jenneke (Championships Officer) Ph:9651 6565 or email mjellybeans@bigpond.com.
